Lisa Vanderpump, '80s Music Video Vixen!
Before she was a Housewife, the 'RHOBH' star turned heads as a sultry heartbreaker.
Every Thursday, celebrate #TBT with us as we open the vault to share photos of Bravolebrities before they were famous—or revisit memorable moments from our shows. This week, we’re throwing it back to Lisa Vanderpump's turn as a sexy temptress in the band ABC's "Poison Arrow" music video.
Attempting a career in music is nothing new for the Housewives. But stealing the show as the sensual lead in a music video is probably something few can claim—except for Lisa Vanderpump!
On their 1982 debut album, The Lexicon of Love, British New Wave band ABC filmed a music video for their hit single "Poison Arrow" and the clip nailed the era's over-the-top excess to a tee. In the video, lead singer Martin Fry plays the role of three different characters all trying to win the affections of Lisa's character, Samantha. But she’s having none of it.
"I care enough to know I can never love you,” Lisa says with sultry confidence. We can’t help but think that the pink lighting illuminating the concoction in her martini glass inspired the cocktails at her West Hollywood establishments, SUR and PUMP.
Little did Lisa know that her music video experience would come in handy years later when she and her fellow Beverly Hills 'Wives made cameos in pop superstar Lady Gaga's video for "G.U.Y."
