Leah Remini's Scientology Show Hits Close to Home for Jax Taylor
The #PumpRules bartender has had some firsthand experience with the controversial church.
If you follow Jax Taylor on Twitter (and we highly recommend that you do!), you know that the Vanderpump Rules bartender has really been digging the series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath.
First and foremost, Jax is a huge fan of Leah Remini and her career. "I love Leah Remini. I love her. I think she's badass. I think she's so awesome. I think she just doesn't give a sh**," Jax told The Daily Dish. "I've been a big fan of Leah for a long time, and I just think she's a beautiful, stunning woman. I love her husband. I love their [family] restaurant [Vivian's Millennium Café]. I love their family. I used to watch their reality show [Leah Remini: It's All Relative]. I just love everything about her. I think I first saw her when she was on Saved by the Bell. She dated Zack Morris."
But it wasn't just his love for the ex-Church member that got Jax interested in her new docuseries. "Any documentary-type show I love watching, so I just watched it. I was actually in Florida over Christmas and my mom and I were just watching this marathon and were like, 'Oh my God, this is happening down the street from your house.' It was all being taped in Clearwater, and my parents live in Clearwater, so oh my God. It was just so interesting, the things that these people do."
Jax said that he even once visited the Scientology compound in Hemet, California for a photo shoot for the Church's promotional materials. "It was just a modeling job. And it just seems like a very weird place. There's all these people walking around with keys. And they're always in these outfits. And they're always walking somewhere," he described. "Where are you guys going? What are you guys doing? There's all these secret doors everywhere. What's going on?"
