Leah Remini Publicly Forgives Her Mom for Getting Family "Into a Cult" with Scientology

The outspoken actress delivered a sweet family moment at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

When Leah Remini took home a Creative Arts Emmy Award for special Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath on Saturday night, she made sure to thank her most important supporter.

“Mom, thank you. You are officially forgiven for getting us into a cult,” she told the crowd, which included her mother, during her acceptance speech.

Her castmates on Kevin Can Wait surprised her with an Emmy-themed cake.

Leah's win marked the end of Anthony Bourdain's four-year streak of taking home the Outstanding Informational Series or Special title for his Parts Unknown.
