Go Inside Kyle Richards' $1.5 Million Home Renovation
The #RHOBH family's "dream home" just got a major upgrade.
If you thought Kyle Richards' home looked fabulous on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, prepare to be even more amazed. She and husband Mauricio Umansky just finished up a $1.5 million renovation on their 7,000-square foot Bel Air crib, and they recently gave ET a tour of what Kyle calls her "dream home."
When Kyle and Mauricio, who is the CEO of the luxury real estate firm The Agency, paid more than $3 million for their house five years ago, the RHOBH mom loved the feel of the house but not so much the look. "When we first bought this house, it was an outdated '80s modern. Not cute at all," Kyle told ET. "No, I didn't love that, but I love the home. I love all the energy."
In the renovation, Kyle and Mauricio upped the luxury on their bar and home movie theater, which features posters of Kyle's movies, book Life is Not a Reality Show, and RHOBH. "We have a designer who's our close friend, Faye Resnick, and she works with us and knows our taste," Kyle said about her pal who has appeared on RHOBH in the past and will pop up in the upcoming sixth season as well.
Also, as part of the renovation, the couple moved Mauricio's gym downstairs to make room for Kyle's new dressing room in addition to her neat and tidy closet. "I try to keep it very organized and color coded," Kyle said.
However, there is still some work left to be done on the house — namely, Mauricio's relocated gym isn't quite the best setting to work out in just yet. "This chandelier's got to go. It used to be a bedroom," the RHOBH hubby told ET.
