How Has Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Affected Mauricio Umansky's Business?
Kyle Richards' hubby opens up about the #RHOBH effect and reveals his secrets for success in real estate.
Real estate agent wannabes, take note. Mauricio Umansky is offering up some of his sage wisdom for anyone hoping to break into the highly- competitive world of real estate. As the founder of the real estate brokerage The Agency, Kyle Richards' hubby recently chatted with fans in a Q&A on real estate website Inman News' Facebook page, revealing what traits a rookie should possess to make it as an agent. "Knowing and understanding your product and your market is tremendously important," he said. "Knowledge is key. Understand your purchase agreements and contracts etc... Expand your sphere of influence and contact list."
Mauricio has also made sure that the culture at The Agency is one where his agents can thrive. "You have to offer your agents phenomenal services. Like research, or marketing but most important is the culture of the company," he said. "It's a place where people want to be, hang, and work."
And it's that kind of philosophy that keeps Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agents David Parnes and James Harris working so hard. Both guys happen to work at The Agency, and when they recently chatted with The Daily Dish they couldn't help but sing Mauricio's praises. "Mauricio is a great guy, like genuine," David said. "He's a friend. He's a mentor. We go on listings with him. We sell loads of big, big high-end real estate with him. He's just a great guy... he's just a good, easygoing, smart, laid back but seriously ambitious at the same time, successful great guy." James added that he's a "#legend. We love the guy. He's the best."
Of course, the conversation with Mauricio also turned to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the effect the show has had on his business. "My role in the Housewives affected my business positively. The Housewives gave a platform for great exposure on a global basis," he said, however sharing that "I think [my brokerage] would be the same but with less exposure."
By the way, O.C. residents, Mauricio could be coming your way sometime soon. When asked if he has plans to open an office in Orange County he shared, "Yes For sure..."
