Kroy Opens Up About His Return to Football
"It just feels good to be out there playing," he says.
Are you ready for some football? Well, Kim Zolciak's hubby Kroy Biermann certainly is. The Atlanta Falcons linebacker has returned to the gridiron this season after injuring himself on the field last year.
And no one is prouder about his return to annual training camp than his wife Kim. "I am so Excited for my incredible hubby @kroybiermann tonight he will be back on the football field! Its been a while and he has worked so hard and we are so proud of you!! We love you sweetheart!! ?????? #preseason #determined," she shared.
Last September, Troy tore his Achilles tendon and had to sit out a majority of the 2013-2014 season. He underwent surgery that same month. But with football season soon approaching, he's back. So what has he missed the most? "Running around that edge and having that contact, I missed that," he told ESPN. "I mean, I had been pushing sleds and I had been doing things in my rehab process to test it against weight and against contact. But just feels good to have the pads on and out there playing football instead of doing rehab."
He added that he has his coaches, Mark Collins and Bryan Cox, to thank for helping him perfect his game as he readies for the 2014-2015 season. He noted, "I've done a decent job, but I've definitely not hit my ceiling. I'm not tapped into my full potential, I feel like."
