Zack Wickham Says He Agreed to Be Kristen Doute's Sperm Donor Before She Met Luke
The Valley bestie accepted the arrangement on one condition...
Zack Wickham has developed a strong bond with Kristen Doute over the years — so strong, in fact, that he previously agreed to be her sperm donor.
The Valley bestie shared the information during the May 3 episode of When Reality Hits, a podcast hosted by estranged husband and wife Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright. While discussing the inaugural season of The Valley, Zack shed more light on his longtime friendship with Kristen and the pregnancy arrangement they made several years ago.
“At one point, if she wanted a baby, I was gonna donate my sperm. Like, ‘Here you go,’” Zack said. “Think about how crazy that baby would be. Oh my god, that baby would be so tall and so loud and unhinged. I wasn’t gonna say ‘unhinged’ but, yes, 100 percent. It would be an unhinged baby.”

Zack says his sperm-donor agreement with Kristen had one "stipulation"
Brittany, who met Zack while attending college in Kentucky, corroborated the “wild” story.
“[Kristen’s] obviously always wanted a baby,” Zack continued. “I was like, ‘Well, the only stipulation I have is that you have to let my parents see [the baby] because they’ll kill me if I give away my sperm and don’t let them see something that is genetically theirs. But I was like, ‘Other than that, I don’t care. I’ll sign my rights away.’”
Kristen and Zack made the donor deal before she met Luke Broderick
Zack clarified the arrangement was made before Kristen’s boyfriend, Luke Broderick, entered the picture. Kristen met the Colorado outdoorsman in 2022 when she was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman at their mutual friends' wedding. Needless to say, the pair immediately hit it off and publicly announced their relationship about five months later.
“I love you so much, but just the thought of being someone’s girlfriend again threw me through a loop because I want to be a wife, and I want to be a mother,” Kristen said during a November 2023 episode of her and Luke’s podcast now called Balancing Act. “Most of all, I just want to be a mother and a partner. And I was so tired of being a girlfriend for a couple of years and then having s--t fall apart, to be honest.”
Kristen addresses her and Luke's pregnancy journey
Kristen opened up about her pregnancy plans in The Valley series premiere (March 19), revealing she and Luke were “actively trying” to have a baby despite being long-distance.
“Watching all of my friends over the past few years get married, have babies, grow their families… I’m the oldest girl in this group. Like, when’s my time?” Kristen told producers.
She expanded on her baby goals in The Valley Season 1, Episode 6, admitting she was afraid that pregnancy wasn’t in her future.
“Seeing a negative pregnancy test sucks because I’m hoping, I’m praying, I’m wishing for the best,” she said. “And then in the back of my mind, I’m thinking, ‘Is this going to be a forever-negative pregnancy test.”
