Things Are Getting Serious Between Kristen Doute and Her New Boyfriend Brian Carter

Kristen Doute may have had an explosive confrontation with Ariana Madix during Monday night's episode of Vanderpump Rules, but the onetime SURver's love life is surprisingly more peaceful these days. In fact, things are progressing between Kristen and her boyfriend Brian Carter, so much so that the two are planning on moving into a new place together soon, she recently revealed to E! News. "We finally decided to get a brand new place together," Kristen said. "We just signed the lease and we'll be in within the next two weeks. We also just got a puppy together!" 

You can see plenty of pics of that puppy, Gibson Nicks, all over Kristen's Instagram feed. He even has his own Instagram profile, as a good dog should. 

After meeting last July via the dating app Bumble, the couple split their time between Kristen's apartment in Hollywood and Carter's place in Venice. "Then, when my accident happened in October, he was here taking care of me, the entire month before my surgery and then the month after," Kristen told E! News. "After that, his lease was up and it was decision-making time. Instead of signing a new lease, he started staying with me." 

This season of Vanderpump Rules has been another tumultuous one for Kristen in the love department. After breaking up with James Kennedy early on, Kristen got back into the dating game, even going out with Below Deck alum Aleks Taldykin. When The Daily Dish caught up with Kristen last month, she said she wasn't really looking for anything in particular in a new man at that time. "I didn't really know what I wanted. I knew what I didn't want. That's really all I had to go on because I'd never really been single ever in my life," Kristen told The Daily Dish. "This whole summer to me was navigating those waters of not having a boyfriend and not having someone around 24/7 and meeting new people."

And what Kristen didn't want was to repeat her past relationships. "I literally wanted the opposite of anything that I had ever had in Tom [Sandoval] or James. That was really it," she explained. 

However, Kristen said after meeting Carter, "you just kind of know when you know." And even though Carter is younger than Kristen, she said he seems more mature than some of the guys she has dated in the past. "He just has his sh** together," she said. "He knows what he wants in life." 

It also doesn't hurt that Kristen finds him very attractive. "The measurements were really important. He had to be taller than me," Kristen said. "I joke like he has perfect measurements. Like, he has a 10-and-a-half size shoe. He has a 30-inch waist. He has shoulders and muscles but not too big. I never thought I'd like facial hair; he has a beard. It doesn't bother me." 

Carter also has Scheana Shay's seal of approval after he was extremely hospitable to her and some friends when they were at his home last summer before an event. "He treats her like a princess," she told The Daily Dish. "I was like, 'OK, you're not even just taking care of your girlfriend. You're taking care of two girls you just met,' and he was just so gentleman-like and just so sweet. And I'm like, 'Wow, where did you find this one? You need to keep him.' I told Kristen, 'If you guys don't work out, we're keeping him.'" 

Hopefully, it'll be smooth sailing for Kristen and her love life from now on and not anything like this moment from earlier this season of Vanderpump Rules.
