The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was charged Monday with three misdemeanors: public intoxication, resisting arrest, and battery upon an officer, according to official documents provided by the L.A. County District Attorney. If sentenced, she could face up to two and half years in jail.

Beverly Hills Police say they were called to the hotel around 1:30 am on April 16 after a report of a "possible fight." According to police, hotel security claimed Kim had caused a disturbance at a hotel restaurant. The police claim that Kim was "displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior, cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest.” A police report of the incident alleges that while being transported for booking, Kim kicked one of the officers in the leg, but notes that the officer was not injured.

In a televised interview with Dr. Phil following her arrest, Kim admitted to drinking the night of the incident and opened up about her struggle to stay sober. She told Dr. Phil that she’s been sober for three years, but that “I did have drinks a few other times over the last few months.”

The misdemeanor charges allege that Kim was “unlawfully in a public place under the influence of intoxicating liquor, a drug, a controlled substance, toluene, and a combination of intoxicating liquor, a drug, a controlled substance, toluene, in such a condition that he/she was unable to exercise care for his/her own safety and the safety of others and interfere with, obstruct, and prevent the free use of a street, sidewalk, and other public way.” Toluene is a liquid chemical found in solvents and paint thinners.

An arraignment hearing is scheduled for June 11 in Los Angeles.
