Kelly Dodd Explains Her Feisty Encounter with Emily Simpson and Her Husband: "I Look Like an Idiot"

The gloves were off when Kelly Dodd came face to face with Shane Simpson, Emily Simpson's husband, at Eddie Judge's party on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County (clip above). Shane and Kelly found themselves at odds after she attempted to speak to Steve Lodge regarding comments he allegedly made in the press. Shane then inserted himself in the conversation — which angered Kelly.

While Kelly had met Shane at the party earlier in the night, she says she didn't realize he was Emily's husband when they began arguing, which also angered Emily. It was a comment she reiterated on social media on Monday: "I honestly did not remember meeting Shane," she wrote on Twitter. "I wasn’t paying any attention. I look like an idiot, I know. When I saw Steve I was just focused on him not Emily’s husband."

Kelly mirrored the sentiment again in her cast blog, writing, "I swear on my life, I didn't realize Shane was Emily's husband. I met so many new people at Tamra's house that night that by the time I got outside and Emily introduced us, I don't think I was paying any attention. We've all been there. It's hard to keep track of a lot of new faces, and we don't always get it right."
