Was Katie Maloney-Schwartz Down to Have Jax Taylor as Her Neighbor?
We'll let the #PumpRules pal explain.
There's no doubt that the Vanderpump Rules crew are close. We mean, they are so tight that Stassi Schroeder crashed Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz's honeymoon and no one even gave it a second thought. But when Katie heard that Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright were going to be her neighbors, well, she had some reservations.
"I was not excited about that, and I was very much opposed to it. I love them. I love all my friends. But I don't want to live next to any of them," she told The Daily Dish. "I think it's great that we have our space. We spend so much time together — working together, hanging out, traveling together, that it's really nice to kind of have your space. And now our space is their space kind of."
When the move was underway, Katie and Brittany had a little heart-to-heart about how the neighbor sitch was going to all go down. "Brittany and I, especially, had a conversation not like laying ground rules, but just kind of being, 'Hey, this could be fun. This could be great, but just remember just call or text.'"
Still, one of them has not been so great at following the rules. "Jax has not been following that rule. Like random knocks at the door. I'm like, 'Who's here?' Jax [at the door], 'Is Tom home?'"
Not that Tom has been immune to the convenience of having his BFF right down the hall. "I caught myself a few times just walking into his apartment without knocking and I was like, 'Oh my God, I'm sorry.' It's like old habits from living together," he said. "I felt like Kramer."
However, Katie noted, "For the most part, it's been good. Just got to stay that way."
