Kanye West Rants About Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Hillary Clinton... Then Cancels Tour
"I’m on my Trump s*** tonight," the rapper shared with a crowd Saturday, right before canceling his Saint Pablo trek.
Kanye West is a rapper who enjoys a good rant, and he put that skill on display during a stop (now his last) on his Saint Pablo tour over the weekend. While taking the stage in Sacramento on Saturday, he didn't hold back when it came to venting about his (former?) pals, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and the press. As he put it: "I’m on my Trump s*** tonight."
After arriving late to the gig, he performed for about 30 minutes, ranted, then ended the show, according to Billboard.
Referencing the most recent VMAs, he shared a bit of insider gossip about Queen Bey, at least according to him. “Beyoncé, I was hurt ‘cause I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over ‘Hotline Bling.’ Now don’t go trying to diss Beyoncé. She is great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people. We are all people. But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forgetting who we are just to win. F*** winning. F*** looking cool. F*** being cool.” (Clearly, this is his latest move in his quest to make us never forget that 2009 "Imma let you finish..." moment.)
He also called out his one-time BFF saying, "Jay Z, call me, bruh. You still ain’t called me. Jay Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Please call me. Talk to me like a man."
Next, he had something to say about Hillary Clinton. “This Saint Pablo tour is the most relevant [thing] happening. If your old ass keeps following old models, you’ll be Hillary Clinton." He then turned on the press, adding, “Right now, press, get ready to write your passive aggressive, LeBron James racist comments, Season 4 racist comments. Get ready to have a field day, press, get ready, get ready, because the show’s over."
It seems the show is over indeed. Following Saturday's rant, Yeezy canceled the final slate of dates on his Saint Pablo tour, according to Pitchfork. Those canceled dates includes shows this week in California and Texas, as well as dates scheduled throughout the country through the month of December, with the tour originally slated to wrap up on New Year's Eve at the Barclays Center (which, it should be noted, has business ties to Jay Z.)
At least that last show was enough to bring Kendall Jenner out of her Instagram hiatus.
UPDATE 11/22/16: Following his tour cancellation on Monday, Kanye West was reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles, according to NBC News. Authorities responded to a medical welfare call on Monday at 1:20 p.m. local time, with sources adding that the decision was made for "his own health and safety." Us Weekly reports that Kim Kardashian rushed to be by his side following the rapper being checked into UCLA Medical Center. She was slated to make her first public appearance since being robbed in Paris in October at the Angel Gala, in honor of her late father Robert Kardashian, in NYC Monday night. “He's just really tired," Kris Jenner told Entertainment Weekly, via Us Weekly, at the event. "It’s a grueling tour."
