Kandi Burruss and Ed Sheeran Are Now Many Degrees Closer Thanks to This Hit Song
The #RHOA songwriter is a part of another No. 1 hit.
Ed Sheeran and Kandi Burruss are officially collaborators... sort of. The British singer/songwriter added The Real Housewives of Atlanta singer, as well as her longtime pal, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, and Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs to the songwriting credits for his latest hit song, "Shape of You," Billboard reports. The move comes after listeners noticed similarities between his track and "No Scrubs," which they wrote for TLC back in the 1990s.
So, what had everyone making the comparisons? Specifically the "Shape of You" lines, "Boy, let's not talk too much/ Grab on my waist and put that body on me" mirrored the rhythm of the "No Scrubs" lines, "No, I don't want no scrubs/ A scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me." Following the news, Kandi and Tiny, who recently reunited with their girl group Xscape, reacted to their credits being added to the Divide track. Ed's track currently sits on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Kandi isn't the only Burruss singer whose music is getting love these days. Her daughter, Riley Burruss, who recently released her track, "Better Late Than Never," just got some major kudos from Nicki Minaj.
Nothing can stop the Burruss girls.
