Dolores Catania Is "Always There for" Teresa Giudice Amid Joe Giudice's Deportation Ruling
The Real Housewives of New Jersey pals have been BFFs for decades, through thick and thin.
Dolores Catania has always made it clear that when it comes to certain personal matters in her friendship with Teresa Giudice, "There's an unwritten law: Don't talk about what's going on." And while she's certainly showed her support and love for Teresa in the wake of Joe Giudice's recent deportation ruling, that unwritten law remains the rule.
"I'm always there for her. Teresa takes everything day by day," Dolores recently told The Daily Dish, which mirrors the sentiment Teresa shared when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last week and was asked if she's thought about her family's next steps after that deportation ruling. Joe has filed an appeal in connection with his deportation ruling.
Joe is currently in the midst of serving 41 months for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud, a sentence which he began in March 2016 at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. In late 2017, Joe was transferred to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania.
However, Dolores noted that she's always got Teresa's back. "So, I'm always there. I don't ask her about her and Joe's business — I never have, everybody knows. I text when I heard on the news and I won't mention it to her again, unless she talks about it," Dolores said. "But she probably won't because she'll go to the next day and not forget about it, but detach herself from it. So that's how we handle things; that's how we all handle things I think."
Dolores and Teresa have known each other for decades, as Dolores recalled to The Daily Dish back in 2016. "I've known Teresa so long I have actually a specific memory, like here I am nine months pregnant with my daughter, Gabrielle, who's now gonna be 21 in September," she recalled at the time. "I was the first to get married and here's my cousin Tanya and Teresa Gorga coming over to hang out at my shore house, getting ready to go to Temptations. I mean, OK, if that's not a flashback."
