Is James Kennedy the New Jax Taylor? Not So Fast

Is there a new bad boy in town? This season on Vanderpump Rules, James Kennedy has certainly put the spotlight on himself. Between his love for partying and the way he's managed to, um, woo both Lala and Kristen Doute, the SURver/DJ is clearly making a name for himself — and perhaps acting a bit like Jax Taylor. Or, is he? Vanderpump Rules' original heart breaker shared some unique thoughts about his "nemesis" when he stopped by the After Show.

"I mean you can try all you want, but it'll never happen," Jax dished in the clip above. "All joking aside, there's a lot of pressure coming on to the show and he's trying to fit in and he's realizing what's been going on and he kind of wants to be like, 'Hey, where do I fit in? And I like what he's done. I'm gonna try and one up him.' I think that's what he's doing. Like I said, all kidding aside, I think he's just trying really hard to surpass me. Which will never happen, but he can keep trying. But he just keeps shooting himself in the foot."

So, what might James have to do to reach Jax-level of Jax-ness? "I just think he's going about it all wrong. He's not very sly about it, that's for sure," Jax said of the Brit. "I think he thinks he's cool. I don't think [he's cool]. Maybe circa 2005 I would have. But it's just tiring to me."

And in case you were wondering if Jax likes James at all, here's the verdict: "I just frankly, I don't like the guy." OK, then.
