Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Are Engaged: "Love Can Win"
They've weathered some ups and downs and now the Vanderpump Rule couple plans to make it official.
Major Mazel! Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are officially engaged. The Vanderpump Rules bartender asked the SURver to marry him while out in Maibu, the couple confirmed on Instagram.
"She said yes!!! I can’t wait for y’all to see how this happened next season!!! I am marrying the woman of my dreams and I could not be happier!! Make sure y’all tune in season 7 to see how this unfolded," Jax wrote on Instagram. "My amazing friend/brother [jewelry designer Kyle Chan] knocked it out of the park on this ring. I told him a few details but I trusted him and as you can see he came through above and beyond. When I decided to do this he was the only one I wanted to design Brittany’s ring and this is why.. flawless Kyle absolutely flawless. Also thank you Margaret owner of @Neptunesnet for allowing me to make this special day possible at one of our favorite spots to eat in Malibu."
And, yes, Brittany was equally excited about the proposal. "Omg omg!!!!!!!! We are ENGAGED! What a way to start our summer and season 7!! I am so happy, so in love, and so beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives! I can’t wait for all of you to see how he proposed!" she wrote on Instagram. "I am the happiest girl ever right now. Love can win. #PumpRules Thank you [Kyle,] this ring is gorgeous!!!"
Jax and Brittany met three years ago in Las Vegas (more on that fateful encounter the video above) and shortly after meeting, Brittany left her native Kentucky behind and moved to Los Angeles to be closer to Jax. In the years since, they have certainly weathered several storms, including Jax getting arrested in Hawaii, a cheating scandal involving former SURver Faith, which played out during Season 6 of Vanderpump Rules, and the recent passing of his father, Ron Cauchi.
It was after his dad passed away in December, and the way that Brittany supported him through the tragedy that, as Jax explained in the video below, brought them closer than ever.
The couple has also been through good times together as well — including when Jax helped donate to an IVF fund for Brittany's brother and his wife, who now have a baby, as fans saw on Vanderpump Rules Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky.
Next up? Holy matrimony! And, viewers will get to see the engagement on Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules.
Congrats to the couple and check out throwback photos of the future Mr. and Mrs. below.
