Timothée Chalamet Was All of Us Seeing Tonya Harding at the Golden Globes
The surprise Golden Globes appearance had everyone's jaws dropping.
Allison Janney's acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture had us all shook at the 75th Annual Golden Globes Sunday night. But none more than Golden Globe nominee Timothée Chalamet.
Janney won the award for her performance as Tonya Harding's mother Lavonda Harding in the Golden Globe-nominated I, Tonya. She even thanked Tonya Harding during her acceptance speech. And wouldn't you know it, the real Tonya Harding was in the audience.
We couldn't believe it, and neither could Chalamet, who was nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for his performance in Call Me By Your Name. The 22-year-old actor sat right near Harding in the audience and he could barely contain his excitement over seeing the infamous figure skater. As the below tweets show, his jaw dropped, and he kept doing that thing when you're in the vicinity of a famous person and you're totally staring, but you just hope they can't tell you're gawking at them.
It appears that Harding had the best seat in the house at the Golden Globes. Not only was Chalamet right behind her, but it looks like her actual seat mate was Zac Efron.
Chalamet also had a blast with his seat mate Dakota Johnson, gifting us with the most delightful of GIFS.
We're all winners!
