Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield Got the Best Prize at the Golden Globes: Kissing Each Other
The actors got something better than a Golden Globe.
Ryan Gosling may have taken home the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical, or Comedy at the 2017 Golden Globes, but his fellow nominee Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield (who was also nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama) may have actually been two of the biggest winners Sunday night. That's because the two had the pleasure of kissing each other.
Yes, as Ryan Gosling made his way up to accept his award, Ryan Reynolds and Andrew could be seen holding each other heads and planting a giant smooch on one another, as you can see in the below clip from the telecast captured by BuzzFeed's Twitter account.
Let's be real. That is not a consolation prize. Those look like a couple of winners to us.
Update 1/9/17: We didn't think it was possible, but this moment got even better when Andrew's ex Emma Stone heard about the moment, courtesy of ET's Kevin Frazier. "What?" Emma said when she heard the news. "They did not kiss each other!"
She then got some video proof of the smooch, and her reaction was priceless. "They did?!" she exclaimed. "That's hilarious."
Ryan Gosling had a big grin on his face as he saw what was going on while he accepted his Golden Globe Award. "I mean, I'm happy for them, honestly, you know?" he told ET. "Good for them."
"I'm happy for them, too," Emma said in agreement.
And we're happy for ourselves and all of humanity that all of this went down Sunday night.
