Gigi Hadid Feels 'Inspired' by Mom Yolanda Foster

The model gives an update on the Beverly Hills Housewife's battle with Lyme disease.

Yolanda Foster might be battling Lyme disease, but the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has the support of her family. And her model daughter, Gigi Hadid, is offering up an update on her mom's health.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

"She's battling a tough one, but she's helping a lot of people through her personal health journey," she told People. "I think when she finally figures out how to help herself, she'll be able to help a lot of other people ... I'm very inspired."

Yolanda was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012. And Gigi's words of encouragement for her mom mirror those recently shared by Yolanda's husband, David Foster.

"I mean she's a warrior," he said. "She's a warrior so she's going to beat it."

He also shared how he's doing his part to help keep his wife's spirits up. "My wife loves a love note more than she loves a piece of jewelry," he said. "It is actually harder to do a love note than a piece of jewelry because I got to, like, sit down and really think about what I'm writing."

Earlier this year, Yolanda opened up about her struggle with the disease. "I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can't process information or any stimulation for that matter," she shared back in January. "It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it."

At the time, Gigi shared how she stays in touch with her mom despite her jet-setting lifestyle.

"We try to call her and FaceTime her with what's going on and keep her feeling like she's not too far away," the 19-year-old shared. "It [lifts her spirits]. I think that she kind of looks forward to it. Right now she's going through a lot, so even a little FaceTime once in a while helps."
