Jeff Lewis' Grandmother Patty Has Passed Away
"You always taught me to speak my mind," the Flipping Out designer said of his late loved one.
Jeff Lewis' grandmother Patty passed away on Thursday, September 13, the Flipping Out designer confirmed on Instagram.
Jeff shared the sad news in a post featuring a lovely photo of his grandmother, who was the mother of his late mom. "I’m sad to say that my grandmother passed away today. You always taught me to speak my mind, so it’s your fault," he wrote. "I love you."
Fans got to see Patty over the years on Flipping Out. Jeff helped remodel her home in Season 6 (clip above), and he shared that his grandmother was just as "strong" and "opinionated" as he is when he went to visit her home.
Jeff also opened up about his close bond with his grandmother in Season 6 of Flipping Out. "My grandmother's my mother's mother, but my mom died when I was 18, and there's no one to really take care of her, watch her, so I've taken on that role because she was so good to me when I was a kid," he shared.
Patty most recently provided a memorable Flipping Out moment in Season 10 when Jeff revealed to her that he would be naming his and Gage Edward's daughter Monroe. Her sweet and funny reaction put a smile on Jeff's face.
