Exclusive: Heather Dubrow Is Writing a Book with Terry
The #RHOC star opens up about working with her husband on a new project.
Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow are teaming up on a new project. The Real Housewives of Orange County star and her plastic surgeon hubby are putting their expert opinions to good use and will pen a book about the best and the worst in the beauty industry. Heather spoke to the Daily Dish about the upcoming book and what fans should expect to see the pair sharing in it.
Why are you writing a book?
Heather Dubrow: Terry and I call ourselves Dr. and Mrs. Guinea Pig because we have spent the last 15 years or so creating our skincare products and testing what's out there on ourselves. We feel we have a unique point of view as a doctor, Terry and a high end consumer, Heather, to shed light on what actually works and what's really just snake oil.
What do you hope this book does for readers?
We will give our readers the truth about procedures, treatments, and products based on our personal experience and expertise.
What’s the biggest misconception about health, beauty, and wellness? Why is it important to test out products before jumping in?
There are many misconceptions in the world of health, wellness, and beauty. Our society today feels that more expensive means better - not true! Or if a celebrity is doing something, that it works — also not true!
What is it like to work with your husband? Is writing a book together different than working on any of your other business endeavors like your skincare line?
Terry and I work exceptionally well together. Our skincare line and our book are truly a labor of love and are both very exciting to create together.
What’s one kind of business you’d wouldn’t want to get into with Terry?
House building. Because as we know from watching RHOC, I would be doing it alone! Haha!
