Erika Jayne Isn't Erika Girardi's Only Alter Ego

Erika Girardi was basically two Housewives in one body last season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. By day, she's the glamorous wife of high-powered lawyer Tom Girardi. But by night, she's a catsuit-wearing, pat the puss-dancing superstar that goes by the name of Erika Jayne. 

Though Erika Jayne is this RHOBH cast member's most famous alter ego, it's not her only one. Just like a cat, it looks like Erika has something like nine lives, and she's had many different kinds of jobs and roles in her lifetime so far. You won't believe how much of a chameleon Erika really is.

Erika revealed last season of RHOBH that she met her hubby Tom while she was working as a cocktail waitress and he was a customer. But these days Erika probably only has cocktails served to her.

We also found out at the end of last season of RHOBH that Erika's repertoire includes acting in addition to singing. She starred in the films Alchemy, playing a woman who befriends her former flame's ex after his death, and Lowball, as a struggling single mom. We still see Erika do a bit of acting in her music videos these days, like the one for her latest single "How Many" above, but we wouldn't mind seeing Erika on the big screen again one day.

Erika does more than fine all on her own, so it's kind of hard to believe that she was a member of a couple of girl groups when she moved to New York after graduating from her performing arts high school, she said in a September 2013 interview with 303magazine.com. The RHOBH songstress performed at a few clubs with her bandmates at that time. "But basically, I was doing any job I could just to stay alive. A lot of extra work," she told 303magazine.com. "I was a starving artist." We're so glad Erika eventually went solo.

Erika immediately fit right in with the rest of the ultra-luxe RHOBH cast members in her rookie season. The woman has her very own glam squad for crying out loud. But Erika actually described herself as "kind of a tomboy" in an interview with SheKnows published in August 2009. "I like to fish. I love to stay outdoors. I'm a big sports fan and go to games," she said. But seeing the above photo, we have to say that few have made the great outdoors look this good.

I'm Good but I Can Always Be Better

We already knew that Erika was very involved in all aspects of her music career, from recording to performing to filming music videos. But at one time, Erika did even more, if you can believe it. She launched her own record label, Pretty Mess Records, in November 2010. We can't wait to see how Erika tops herself in the future.

What Does Erika's Son Think of Erika Jayne?

Many were surprised to hear last season of RHOBH that Erika has a twentysomething son who is a police officer in the LAPD. "I accept him for who he is and what his dreams are, and he accepts me for who I am and what I do. And I think that's what makes our relationship so unique and so close," Erika told Andy Cohen during the RHOBH Season 6 reunion (clip above). Seeing how caring and loyal Erika is, it's actually no surprise that her maternal instincts would be on point.

Erika, Go to Your Room

Before Erika conceived her most famous alter ego, she said her main role was as the wife of a lawyer. "My husband's a lawyer, and I lived a lawyer's wife's life," she told Splash News earlier this year. "I was with him all the time. And then, I finally said, 'You know what? I need to go back and perform and do what I love for me,' and that's how Erika Jayne was born." Now that's some unexpected inspiration.
