Meet the New Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Cast Members
The 90210 is about to get a lot more dramatic — and blond. Learn more about the #RHOBH Season 6 newbies.
There are plenty of familiar faces returning for another helping of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills drama when Season 6 premieres December 1. However, if you watched the epic, new supertease of the upcoming season, you know that there are a couple of newbies added to the bunch this year: Erika Girardi and Kathryn Edwards. It certainly looks like these two are going to stir the pot this season, but these blondes led fascinating lives even before they joined the RHOBH cast.
Originally from Atlanta, Erika is probably best known by her stage name Erika Jayne, under which she has performed such dance-pop singles as "Rollercoaster," "Stars," and "One Hot Pleasure." All of those have shot to number one on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart, along with five other singles from Erika.
Whether it's in her music videos, like the one for "Get It Tonight" featuring Flo Rida above, or performing onstage, Erika isn't afraid to show a little — OK, a lot — of skin. We should all plan on seeing her serve up some body-ody-ody on RHOBH this season.
Judging by her Instagram profile, this blond bombshell seems to admire other fierce blondes, including Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, and Miss Piggy from The Muppets. But more surprisingly, she's also a bit of a Star Wars fan. Erika's going to need all the wisdom from Yoda she can get to handle the rest of the RHOBH cast.
Like many of the 'Wives, Erika has been a major supporter of the LGBT community. She was even honored with the LGBTs in the News Ally Entertainer of 2015 in January.
When she's not recording or touring the world, Erika is living a more domestic life — in a five-acre, 1920s estate, that is. Erika shares her home with her husband Tom Girardi, who is considered one of the nation's top trial lawyers. Though he's 76 years old, Tom has said that he doesn't plan on retiring anytime soon. The couple also has a gorgeous black Dutch Shepherd dog, who would probably scare the paws off of Giggy.
Erika's fellow new Housewife Kathryn is also an L.A. outsider. Kathryn was born and raised in Wisconsin but moved to Paris after being signed by Elite Model Management upon graduating high school. During her career, Kathryn rocked the modeling world, landing tons of magazine covers and Nike's first "Just Do It" campaign. Watch out, Yolanda. Kathryn can vogue with the best of them.
Kathryn moved to L.A. in 1986 and had an eight-year marriage to NFL Hall of Famer Marcus Allen, which ultimately ended in divorce. She then married her current hubby Donnie Edwards, who played in the NFL for the San Diego Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs and also happens to be nine years Kathryn's junior. In their downtime, Kathryn and Donnie enjoy doing charity work, such as supporting the organization The Greatest Generations Foundation, for which Donnie has been involved with since 2011 and currently serves as the director of community relations. Through this organization, the couple gives back to the country's war veterans.
Another favorite pastime of Kathryn and Donnie is traveling the world. The pair have been to Italy, Israel, and Germany in the past year alone. They also frequent Donnie's hometown of San Diego, where they have a second home. Seriously, scrolling through Kathryn's Instagram profile is like a tour of the globe.
In addition to her high-profile husbands, Kathryn also hangs out with a lot of famous faces. You won't be able to scroll through her Instagram feed without coming across a pic of Kathryn with a celeb, such as Rob Lowe, RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, and even Ronald and Nancy Reagan.
Kathryn also adds another canine to the RHOBH family with her adorable French bulldog. She's also had quite a few run-ins with exotic animals. That should prepare her for when the claws come out this season of RHOBH.
So how well will Erika and Kathryn get along with returning 'Wives Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Yolanda Foster, Lisa Rinna, and Eileen Davidson? We're all just going to have to tune in on December 1 at 9/8c to find out.
