Yes, One of the Real Housewives Has a Connection to a 2018 Grammy-Nominated Song
See which A-list artists were nominated this year.
The 2018 Grammy nominations have been officially announced — and we can't help but notice that one of the songs nominated has a very interesting connection to one of The Real Housewives of Atlanta pals.
Ed Sheeran's single, "Shape of You," has been nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance, along with "Love So Soft" by Kelly Clarkson, Kesha's "Praying," Lady Gaga's "Million Reasons" and "What About Us" by Pink. While those all are worthy contenders, only Ed's 2017 single, off his album Divide, includes songwriting credits from Kandi Burruss, as well as her Xscape bandmate Tameka "Tiny" Harris.
Earlier this year, the two ladies, along with Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, later got songwriting credits on the track after listeners noticed similarities between the Sheeran single and "No Scrubs," which the trio wrote for TLC back in the 1990s, following its release.
Other A-list artists nominated for a 2018 Grammy include Jay-Z (with the most nods this year), as well as Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, and Bruno Mars. For a complete list of nominees, check out the Grammys official site. The show will take place in NYC in January.
