Does Kathryn Edwards Think O.J. Simpson Did It?
The #RHOBH newbie spilled some tea on the Juice on #WWHL.
Talk about first impressions. One of the first things we learned about The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie Kathryn Edwards is that her ex-husband Marcus Allen was besties with O.J. Simpson. A standoff with Faye Resnick, an emotional brunch at her San Diego pad, and many workouts later, we've come to know Kathryn for the 'Wife that she is. However, we still can't help but wonder about all of the secrets she knows about one of the most infamous figures in American history.
Thankfully, Kathryn appeared on Watch What Happens Live Tuesday night and answered all of Andy Cohen's burning questions related to the Juice. Kathryn confirmed that she knew O.J. well and got married to Marcus at his Brentwood home, but she's not still in touch with him.
But when Andy asked Kathryn if she thinks O.J. actually murdered his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, she was tight-lipped. "You know what, it's one of those things that you don't want to believe that someone that you cared about and were friends with is capable of something like that, so honestly, I prefer not to even entertain that idea," she said.
Kathryn and Marcus didn't want to be involved in the trial at all, even though they were asked to testify. "We fought the subpoena, Kathryn revealed. "We did not come back for it. We really wanted to stay out of it. At that stage of the game, it's such a tragic, tragic thing, and we don't want to be involved."
Even though the O.J. Simpson murder trial has returned to the cultural zeitgeist thanks in part to The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story currently airing on FX, Kathryn is still keeping out of it, saying she has not watched the true crime series or even read Faye's book, Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted. However, Kathryn has forgiven Faye for what she wrote about her in the book. "I think Faye is in a much better place, and I'm really all about letting bygones be bygones," she said on WWHL.
UPDATE 7/20/17: O.J. was granted parole on July 20,2017 fter spending nine years in prison in Nevada in connection with a 2007 crime during which he robbed two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas hotel at gunpoint.
However, Kathryn did have words planned for Faye if she came for her during Kyle's barbecue earlier this season of RHOBH, which you can hear in the clip, below.
