Brooks Ayers Addresses Cancer Diagnosis, Calls Himself an "Easy Target"
The ex-boyfriend of #RHOC's Vicki Gunvalson weighs in on the drama surronding his health.
More questions from Season 10 of Real Housewives of Orange County will be addressed during the next installment of the reunion, including the biggest hot topic of them all: Brooks Ayers' cancer diagnosis. Vicki Gunvalson's ex-boyfriend (who will also appear on the reunion) is addressing the drama head on, and has gone so far as to confirm his diagnosis in a new interview with E! News.
"Absolutely I'm sticking by that," Brooks said of his illness. "Unfortunately, I wish it wasn't true. It would be a lot easier if I didn't have cancer just to be honest with you. The daily grind, the routines of reminding yourself that I'm sick and I need to do certain things and not do certain things."
Brooks later called himself an "easy target" for the group. "I don't fight like those ladies fight. They fight below the belt," he said. "I was brought up a little differently, and that's sad for me on the outside, but what am I supposed to do: argue, fight, cuss with women? I don't do that."
Back in August, Vicki and Brooks confirmed their split after four years together. He addressed what, in part, led to the break-up. "We are not [together]. People ask me that all that time.... But the primary issue was the internal family conflict with [her daughter] Briana." While he says he is no longer in love with his Vicki, he did share that he still cares about her. "I love her," he said. "I want the best for her. I'm not the best for her."
