New information has come to light about the incident involving the #RHONJ alum.
We are now learning new details in connection with the home robbery involving Dina Manzo and her boyfriend, David Cantin. According to PEOPLE, the couple were beaten and bound by robbers during a home invasion in the Holmdel, New Jersey townhouse they share over the weekend.
“Dina and David are obviously shaken up from the traumatic and violent home invasion and robbery,” their attorney, Andrew B. Brettler, said in a statement to PEOPLE. “No one should ever have to go through what they did. They are grateful to law enforcement and the other emergency responders and appreciate everyone’s concern and well-wishes.”
As of press time, Brettler has not responded to The Daily Dish's request for comment, nor had a representative for the Holmdel police.
The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. on Saturday after the couple attended a First Communion party for Audriana Giudice, the daughter of Dina's friend, The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom, Teresa Giudice. When they returned home, they found two assailants inside. According to the prosecutor’s office, via PEOPLE, they were rushed by the duo and David was hit several times with a baseball bat while Dina was punched "multiple times" in the face. They were then tied up with the suspects taking cash and jewelry.
David was able to free himself and call the police, who then arrived on the scene. The couple was taken to the hospital with David suffering from a broken nose and other injuries to his face. Dina was treated for facial injuries. Both have been released from the hospital. Law enforcement is still looking for the suspects. Dina hasn't commented about the incident on social media.
