Cynthia Bailey Eyewear Is Just the Start of This RHOA 'Wife's Accessories Empire
The #RHOA model wants to own the world of hats, watches, and anything else that can make or break an outfit.
It wasn't easy, but The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast finally filmed the 'mercial for Cynthia Bailey Eyewear in Jamaica during Sunday night's episode. However, that's just the beginning of some exciting new developments the company has in the works. "I actually have quite a few fine department stores — I can't say the names right now — who are interested, so hopefully you'll be able to buy Cynthia Bailey Eyewear in some of the finer department stores soon," Cynthia Bailey told The Daily Dish.
Cynthia said she is also excited to continue to hold events where potential customers can try on the sunglasses in person, such as the customer appreciation event she held on RHOA earlier this season. "People don't feel comfortable buying eyewear online. They want to try them on. A lot of people don't have a real clear perception of what looks right on them," Cynthia explained. "I'm not selling socks; I'm selling eyewear, so I really have to kind of be a little hands on. The people that work with Cynthia Bailey Eyewear, we have to give them an opportunity or somewhere where they can actually put the glasses on. So that's what I'm looking forward to the most."
However, Cynthia isn't just stopping at sunglasses. "I have hats and watches and all kind of great things coming," she said. "I wanted to do something in the fashion lane, and I felt like accessories were a great fit. I'm all about personal style and how you put it together, and I think the way you accessorize is important. The right or wrong accessory can make or break an outfit."
Cynthia has already started expanding her accessories empire with a partnership with Perfect Hair Brands for a forthcoming line of wigs and hair extensions, of which she gave us a preview on Instagram Tuesday with the help of Andy Cohen.
Though Cynthia has spent much of her professional life surrounded by fashion, the important role accessories play in making and transforming an outfit ultimately inspired her to enter this industry. "I don't have a real passion for making clothes. I just feel like there's so many great people that I like to wear that figured it out already. I think where people struggle is how to put it together. You can go buy the labels and you can go buy whatever you want to get, but a lot of times the way you put it together needs some work. I think people struggle in the how to put it together department. I mean, I do," Cynthia said. "You know, most people can't afford a whole new wardrobe every year, so they have to get pieces that they can kind of work, integrate into the next season. And that's what I love. That's what I'm excited about."
We can't wait to see what Cynthia comes up with next. In the meantime, check out what accessories Cynthia has in her closet, below.
