Craig Conover Passed the Bar, But Did Shep Rose Apologize for Giving Him a Hard Time?
Find out what's next for the #SouthernCharm attorney.
If you haven't sent a big mazel to Craig Conover yet, we're not sure what you're waiting for. As you may recall, the Southern Charm pal officially passed the bar back in April, and now he's plotting and planning his next step.
"In our third year of law school, we had to write a business plan with groups of our buddies and, you know, the plan was always to work for a few years on our own and then come back together and kind of start a firm together -- each of us with our specialties. But I'm playing it really slowly," he told The Daily Dish, noting that his role on TV does make his situation unique. "There's not much precedent in South Carolina for someone in my position to practice law. So I'm being very delicate with jumping into it. Probably give it a few months, show them that I'm not gonna go crazy, and do anything silly and just do it right, basically."
While Craig has been moving at a slower pace, that doesn't mean word hasn't spread that he's now able to be employed and practice law. "I've gotten a few job offers, which is nice," he said. (He confirmed on WWHL that he has yet to be sworn in.) "But, you know, I'm in a position where I want to take it slow and might start almost interning for someone under the radar to just kind of get back into the flow of things and sharpen my tool set out a little better before representing anyone myself... we'll see what happens, though."
About six weeks have passed since Craig passed the bar after years of drama and no shortage of opinions and criticism from Shep Rose about his future in law. So, has Shep apologized for being hard on Craig in the past? "He never really bothered me; he just annoyed me ... but he wrote a nice message and congratulatory post online and sent me a nice text," Craig said. "And we kind of just went on living how we were -- he's just not as annoying. I mean Shep's not one to apologize. You'll never catch him in a lie. He's a very honest person almost to a fault. But I don't think he's a big one to apologize. He does it in his own way [like] 'You know, I feel bad, man. Take this drink and whatever.'"
