Connie Britton Totally Watched Faye Resnick on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
The American Crime Story actress has clearly done her research.
With only days until the premiere of American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, Connie Britton is owning up to her love of The Real Housewives. This development is particularly important since Connie is playing The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pal Faye Resnick in the Ryan Murphy series.
"I have to admit, I was kind of into The Real Housewives of New York. It just thrilled me to no end," she told AdWeek. "Whenever I'd get sick, that would be my go-to. But I did watch Faye on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which was fantastic. I adore Andy Cohen, and of course he was way into it, so he helped me out."
For those who may not be in the know, the upcoming FX mini-series will take a deeper look at the events surrounding the O.J. Simpson trial following the death of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Faye was a friend of Nicole's who testified during the 1995 murder trial and later wrote the book, Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted. If you're like Connie, and not a fan of the true-crime genre, she still thinks you should tune in. "What I love about [American Crime Story] is that, first of all, it's Ryan Murphy, who I adore, and I knew he was going to put a twist on what we know as crime TV and make it something fresh," she said. "I haven't even seen the actual show yet, but just from shooting it, I know that he was able to do that. It's not your typical crime show."
The cast includes Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, and Cuba Gooding, Jr. as O.J. Simpson. Check out a trailer below.
Elsewhere on the small screen, Faye has re-emerged this season on RHOBH. She faced off against newbie 'Wife Kathryn Edwards over allegations she made in her book about her, as seen in the clip below.
