Chrissy Teigen Reveals How Kim Kardashian Is Doing After the Paris Robbery
The #KUWTK star's pal opens up about her current status.
In the weeks since Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, she's kept a very low profile. For the most part, it's been her family (well, Khloe Kardashian) who has let fans know how she's fared since the event. Now her pal, Chrissy Teigen, is offering an update on her current status.
“We’ve been texting. She’s doing great now. It was definitely a traumatizing, horrible, horrible thing," she told Vanity Fair. “Honestly I couldn’t even imagine it happening to me. I don’t even know how I would have reacted. I don’t think anyone would know how they would have reacted to a situation like that. It’s definitely terrifying. And we’re all looking at social [media] now, like, ‘Crap, maybe we got to chill out a bit.’”
Chrissy said that the event has not only altered the way Kim lives her life, but also the way she lives her own. “It’s hard for me because I’m so used to being a open book," she said. "It was so fun to be able to do that. Everybody after [Kim’s robbery] has definitely simmered down.”
In the wake of Kim's robbery, Chrissy defended her pal on Twitter and later made her social media feed private. She's not regretting the decision. "I’m in heaven right now. The grass is green. I feel like a new person. You honestly forget that the negativity exists once you block it out,” she said. “The people that like you don’t tend to be horrible to you. I swear, [going private] has changed my mood, my life. It’s really, really nice.”
She even offered up some advice for her fellow oversharing celebs. “Snapchat’s crazy because . . . it’s literally you telling the world right now where you are at this very moment,” she said. “A lot of people do live in gated communities, so you forget . . . that if you’re Snapping around your house, you’re showing all the doors. You’re giving too much information now. That’s one thing, you do love Snapchat, but then it’s like, They see absolutely everything — where your closet is in the house.”
