The Real Housewives of Orange County alum revealed as much in a new interview with People. "We did begin 2023 with a promise to one another to spend the rest of our lives together," Braunwyn said. "We were in North Carolina on New Year's Eve. And at 11:59, we did a little commitment ceremony to each other where we exchanged rings and told the other, 'I love you, I want to be with you, this is my promise to you, this is where we're headed, I want to spend the rest of my life with you.'"

Braunwyn added that the ceremony was "really intimate and beautiful and special" since it was just the two of them. Don't get it twisted though — they are not engaged.

At least, "it's not an engagement yet," Braunwyn clarified. "We're madly in love and I have no doubt that's where we'll end up one day. But right now we're just enjoying our time together and soaking up the love and the excitement of having found one another."

Prior to the New Year's Eve ceremony, Braunwyn previously said she and Sean — who are parents to Bella, Rowan, Jacob, twins Caden and Curren, Koa, and Hazel — were excited to spend the holidays together as a family.

"We will both say, the beginning of our divorce was tough — tougher than we thought it would be," the former couple said in a December 13 statement, per People. "However, due to some recent changes we have both made, we are working toward a much better place this holiday season."

"You have to understand, we have been companions for over a quarter of a century — that's a super long time," the statement continued. "This transitional period from separation into divorce is new to us, especially with unexpected private family court matters being made public. We are looking forward to the holidays with our children, and ringing in a hopeful new year. We send love to those going through a divorce this holiday season."

The update came approximately two months after Braunwyn filed for divorce from Sean. As RHOC fans may recall, she came out as a lesbian in 2020. Sean was extremely supportive, and the two went on to navigate what they called a "modern marriage" until August 2021, when they confirmed their "trial separation" that would ultimately lead to the divorce filing.
