Brandi Glanville & Dean Sheremet Get Real about Exes Eddie Cibrian & LeAnn Rimes
"I didn't want to believe it," the #RHOBH alum says of the infamous affair that brought their exes together.
When Brandi Glanville invited Dean Sheremet to appear on her Unfiltered podcast, the twosome had a lot to say about the two people they share a history with: their respective exes, Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes, who married each other after a highly publicized extramarital affair. "Well, I could've shut the f*** up and I didn't," the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum said of how she approached her 2009 split from Eddie. "I'm a fighter and I'm feisty. And you held back so much and you're so honorable with the way you handled things and you're classy. And people were like, 'Brandi, take the high road,' and I was like, 'Bitch, I'm afraid of heights. I don't even know what the high road is!'"
Despite their different approaches to their breakups, Brandi makes no apologies for being so open about discussing her split from Eddie. "I think that it's because a lot of women and men kind of brush it under the rug, and not a lot of them take the low road and fight back," she said, in reference to critics who suggest she discusses her ex too much. She also applauded Dean for being a little less colorful when talking about his ex in his new book, Eat Your Heart Out. "I feel like your cookbook is so classy and you didn't say anything wrong and all you do is tell your story," Brandi said.
"I just tried my best to be as accountable as possible without pointing any fingers," Dean explained of his 2009 split. "Standing here, seven years later, I'm like, 'I probably annoyed her and did some weird things.' I have no ill will towards her." For Brandi, it's a bit more complicated. "I always sit near them at the school events. It ebbs and flows," she said. "I wish we could get along."
During the podcast, Brandi and Dean also reminisced about a night out with the now-married duo, who met on the set of the TV movie Northern Lights. "It was so bizarre to me because I knew it, but I didn't want to believe it, and I feel like you were kind of in the same boat," Brandi said of the suspicious double date, noting she could sense something more was brewing between Eddie and LeAnn.
