Jill Zarin Opens Up About What's Next for Her After Bobby Zarin's Passing
The Big Apple mom reveals she might be moving and how she's keeping busy.
Following Bobby Zarin's passing last month after a battle with cancer, Jill Zarin is sharing what her next chapter may look like — including a possible move to Florida. She tells PEOPLE it's something that she's "thinking about."
“I need some time alone without the pressure of a fast pace right now. I need to slow down and follow my heart. That’s what Bobby would want for me. Playing tennis and golf, being with my parents and very close friends is what brings me the most happiness right now. One day at a time," she said. (She owns a condo in Miami and a house in Boca Raton. Jill shared that she and her family had moved from Camp Zarin in the Hamptons back in December.) She added, “It’s hard for me to be alone right now and I need to be with close friends and family.”
Jill noted that she's “trying to keep busy to keep her mind off losing Bobby" and so she's been spending time with her daughter and friends, as well as doing some traveling. She's made stops in London and Morocco, where she caught up with The Real Housewives of New York City's Ramona Singer. “I’m so lucky. My friend Nurit wouldn’t take no for an answer and ‘kidnapped’ me. When she found out I was taking JetSmarter to London, she sent me a ticket to come to Morocco with my girlfriends from N.Y.C. The timing was perfect," she said.
Many of those who have known Jill for years have showed their love and support for her following Bobby's passing, including Bethenny Frankel, who recently chatted with The Daily Dish about attending his funeral, as you can see in the video above.
Now, Jill added to PEOPLE, "I don’t know what I’m going to do without him because he always made sure I didn’t forget anything. He would always close the cabinets or the refrigerator … he always finished everything I started.”
Below, Bethenny talks more about how Jill is doing.
