Pregnant Beyoncé Cancels Her Coachella Performance Because Her Doctors Want Her to Chill Instead
The superstar must "keep a less rigorous schedule" ahead of the arrival of her twins.
Beyoncé's fans might want to keep replaying her show-stopping Grammys performance if they are hoping to catch a glimpse of her on stage, because the pregnant singer confirmed she won't be headlining Coachella after all. The singer was slated to take the stage on April 15 and 22 during the major music festival in Indio, California, but she has since been advised by her doctors to take it slow instead.
"Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival," reads the statement from Bey's team to the Associated Press, via Access Hollywood, released Thursday. "However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding."
The Coachella cancellation (well, technically rescheduling) comes just weeks after Queen Bey confirmed she is expecting twins with Jay Z via Instagram. The music superstars are already parents to 5-year-old Blue Ivy.
But just because Bey isn't performing at this year's show, that doesn't mean you can't praise the singer for always slaying.
