Bethenny Frankel Opens Up About How Grief from Losing Dennis Shields Has Affected Her Appearance
The RHONY mogul has been spending time in the Bahamas following the loss of her on-off boyfriend.
In the weeks since Dennis Shields passed away, Bethenny Frankel has been open and candid with fans about how the loss of her on-off boyfriend has affected her. After The Real Housewives of New York City mogul posted a photo of herself in a ruffly little dress on Instagram (below), a fan commented that she looks like she has lost some weight, according to PEOPLE. Bethenny responded, via Entertainment Tonight, "Death will do that to a person #griefdiet. I don't recommend it."
Bethenny was recently in the Bahamas, following her relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Florence, noting on Instagram she was there for a "new day. new viewpoint," and has been spending her time there remembering Dennis.
Us Weekly reports that while on vacation, she shared on Instagram Stories that she was listening to Lionel Richie's hit with the Commodores, "Sail On." She reportedly added, “Dennis would like this right now; he’d be happy. He would appreciate this. He didn’t care what we did. This one’s for Dennis. He’s sailing on."
Following Dennis' passing in August, Bethenny took to Twitter to thank fans for their support in the wake of her loss. "It’s hard to breathe & I appreciate you giving me the space & support to try to do so. It’s excruciating-sudden death is no closure & constant [questions] & memories. Our relationship is current so it’s painfully raw," she said in late August. "Trying to stay healthy & move through it [with] tears & close friends. Xo."
