Eric Stonestreet Says He and Bethenny Frankel are Just Friends But "She's a Wonderful Kisser"

On Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Bethenny Frankel and Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet were confronted with a question that’s been dogging them for a while. “Did you two ever date?” asked host Andy Cohen?

Bethenny and Eric each took a long, lingering sip of their drinks while exchanging glances that seemed to say, “Should we?”

Bravely, The Real Housewives of New York City mogul began by saying, “Since he’s an actor, and I live my life out loud, you start unless you want me to answer.” A little unclear what she meant by that, except maybe a warning that if Eric didn’t spill the beans, she would in her own wild style. He quickly decided to take control of the story. “I mean, we met and I think we both decided that we make much better friends,” said Eric, adding, “But she’s a wonderful kisser."

They clinked glasses to wild applause. You can’t consider everyone you kiss a date, but that’s certainly a lot to know about a friend.

Bethenny previously opened up to The Daily Dish about the origins of her friendship with Eric. "I met him at a party, and I thought he was gay, and he commented on my skirt. And I think he thought it was a sexy skirt, but I thought he was gonna be my gay best friend and that we were gonna go clothes shopping because I thought he was his character 'cause I think the people in McDonald's commercials are actually in real life gonna be there when I go," she said. "So I didn't realize he's from Kansas and a real sports fan and a real meat eater and a real Kansas City man."
