Amanda Bynes Makes a Rare Public Appearance and Shares Some Surprising Revelations About Her Life Today
From being sober to her Hollywood dreams, she doesn't hold back.
Amanda Bynes has revealed that she is ready to return to television.
"I'm going to start acting again," the former child star, who has spent the last few years as a student at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), told Hollyscoop in her first interview in four years. "I want to do TV. Maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I'm a fan of and maybe another TV show where I'm the star of it in the future, that's what I hope."
Amanda appears happy and fresh-faced in the video, in which she wears her hair long, straight and platinum blonde. When asked if Blac Chyna stole her sometimes-wiggy look, Amanda said that, to the contrary, she has been very influenced by Blac Chyna.
"I was getting the microdermals [piercings] in my cheeks because she had them. I thought they looked super hot on her. I'm a fan of hers, she's adorable. She's a cutie pie."
The interview doesn't deeply delve into Amanda's troubled years starting in 2012, when she announced that she would retire from acting and was arrested for incidents including driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and setting fire to a random driveway. But she does address one of her most infamous tweets from the era, when she said she'd like rapper Drake to "murder her vagina." She still stands behind the sentiment — "like, f*** me, Drake!" — but, now three years sober, she admits "I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious."
