This Is What Happened When Adrienne Maloof Ran into Paul Nassif's New Wife at Kyle Richards' Party
Kyle Richards explains how she juggles her friendship with the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spouses.
Kyle Richards' fundraiser for Children's Hospital Los Angeles in the July 15 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was full of familiar faces — and some awkward run-ins. So we were getting ready to cringe when we noticed that Adrienne Maloof, her ex-husband Dr. Paul Nassif, and his new wife Brittany were all at the party.
However, their encounter was a surprisingly pleasant one. Adrienne and Brittany were all smiles as they hugged each other hello at the event. They even had a nice conversation where Brittany complimented Adrienne's makeup.
It wasn't easy for Adrienne and Paul to get to this good place as they ended their marriage and finalized their divorce in 2013. Their mutual friends like Kyle and her husband, Mauricio Umansky, even had a tough time juggling their friendship with the former spouses.
"Whenever I have a couple friend that goes through a divorce, you're made to feel like you're supposed to choose a side. Mauricio and I really try to keep a balance of being friends with both Paul and Adrienne, which is a little challenging at times. I don't think it would be a stretch to say they were enemies," Kyle remarked in an interview during the July 15 episode of RHOBH. "So it's nice to see them finally come together and actually be friends."
Paul tied the knot with Brittany in an official wedding ceremony in Los Angeles before later saying "I do" in Greece in the fall of 2019. The couple is now expecting their first child together, a baby girl, this October.
When The Daily Dish caught up with Paul this spring, he shared how Adrienne, with whom he shares three teenage sons, Gavin and twins Christian and Collin, reacted to the news of his little one on the way. "I kind of haven’t really discussed that with her. I mean she knows, obviously. She said 'congratulations' to both of us. So, I think a 'congratulations' is probably a good thing to say," he said. "But I haven’t really discussed."
