$50,000 Worth of Jewelry Stolen from Kelly Bensimon in Martha's Vineyard
"These [pieces] were to be passed on to my daughters as heirlooms," the #RHONY alum says.
Such sad news for Kelly Bensimon. The Real Housewives of New York alum is missing $50,000 worth of jewelry after her Cadillac Escalade was broken into during a business trip in Martha’s Vineyard over the weekend. “It’s all Hermès, Rolex and Cartier. I’m so upset,” she tells Page Six.
The jewelry was contained in a Black Dog tote bag inside the car, and included Hermès and Cartier bracelets, a Daytona watch, and Mauboussin diamond ring. It’s particularly upsetting because the pieces have such significant sentimental value to Kelly. "These pieces of jewelry are not just objects, but my favorite pieces that I wear everyday! They are my signature pieces!" she tells The Daily Dish. "These were to be passed on to my daughters as heirlooms, so that is obviously upsetting."
The only upside to the matter is the outpouring of support from others. "I am so grateful for all of the outreach regarding my stolen jewelry. Everyone has been so kind and helpful, it really means a lot to me," she says.
Those with information are encouraged to contact the Edgartown, Mass. police department. "Whoever turns in the jewelry will be offered a reward," Kelly says. "Fingers crossed!"
