Teresa Giudice Visits Joe Giudice "All The Time" in Prison; However, "He Comes Third"... We'll Let Her Explain
Does The Real Housewives of New Jersey hubby understand his busy wife's schedule?
This month marks two years since Joe Giudice began a 41-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud charges in 2014. And while he's been away from his family, Teresa Giudice has been keeping busy trying to work and raise their four daughters. And The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom says that while she visits her husband “all the time," she does have a number of other commitments on her plate as well.
“This is how it goes. Work comes first — I’m by myself — so it’s work, then all the kids’ activities come second. Then he comes third,” she told PEOPLE. “He’s totally fine with that. When I’m free, then I go see him, and he’s totally fine with that.”
Back in November, Joe was transferred from Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania. “I love the ride. It’s so meditative. I love Route 80. The mountains! The mountains are so beautiful!” she said of taking the trip to see Joe in Pennsylvania. “I hate the turnpike — I used to dread going to see him when he was in Fort Dix because I hate the turnpike. Where he is now, it’s beautiful.”
Last fall, The Daily Dish caught up with Teresa who shared what life has been like for Joe since he started his prison sentence. "Joe is doing great. I mean, he's lost like maybe 30, 40 pounds. I mean, he's thinned out and he's really muscular and really toned and really fit," she said, adding some more details about his time away in the video above. "Like I saw him, not last week, the week before, and I loved the way his hair was styled. When I go see them, they're all clean-cut, they look really good. You know, everybody looks good when all their families come to see them, so he looked really good that day."
Following his release from prison, there is still a possibility that Joe could be deported back to his native Italy. Below, Teresa opens up about what that could mean for her future.
