Kathryn: Thomas Led Me to Believe He Hardly Knew Jen

Kathryn also dishes on who she thought the rudest dinner guest was.

By Kathryn Dennis

Bravotv.com: Why were you looking to move out of Thomas' plantation home? What kind of new home were you envisioning?
Kathryn Calhoun DennisI am anxious to move from the plantation, because it is an hour and a half drive from town, including a hospital if there were an emergency. It is scary to be a new mother without you and your baby's basic, everyday needs within a reasonable distance. Every time I make a trip into town, it's as if I am having to stock up the house for at least a week because of the production it is just to go.

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Bravo Thursday, December 5 at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

Bravotv.com: Did becoming a homemaker ever get easier, or is it still exhausting?
KCD: Being a homemaker is much more second nature than it was to begin with. Now I am more confident, understanding of my daughter's needs, and can prepare. Preparation is key when you run a household, and that is now something I am able to do. Naturally.

Is Kathryn a Natural Hostess?

Bravotv.com: How do you feel about Thomas running for office?

KCD: I am all for supporting my loved ones and their passions and dreams. Whether or not I feel that it was going to be easy with a newborn is a question I considered, but I knew I could handle if it made Thomas happy. He had been back and forth about running, and I knew if he didn't, he would regret it. That feeling would have been more terrible to live with than any feelings I would have to cope with if he did.
Bravotv.com: Were you bothered when you saw Jennifer at the dinner? If so, why?

KCD: Thomas had been speaking secretly, or so he thought, with several women during my pregnancy. I have wonderful peripherals. I knew when Jennifer showed up to a dinner party, supposedly made up of only our close friends, she was the "Jen" I had seen texting him for months prior to giving birth. It hurt that he led me to believe that he hardly knew her but apparently knew her very well, which I learned at the dinner party. He was truthful when our guests asked, and they found out about their relationship, or that they had some type of relationship, at the same time I did. It was embarrassing to me that I believed him and only made me question more why he kept whatever their relationship was a secret for over a year. But in the end, she was a lovely guest. The only person I was bothered by having there was Whitney. He was rude and smoked a cigarette at the table. I assume he got into his mother's medicine cabinet...
