Sultry, stylish, classic: three words that capture the essence of a cat eye. This eyeliner style not only accentuates your eyes, it also adds a touch of drama to your overall glam — and we just found a new way to take this look to another level.

How to Watch

Adding a fresh spin on this popular style, Maybelline New York makeup artist Grace Lee created a double cat eye on a model on last week’s episode of Bravo’s Project Runway. Paired with a bold lip, this glam look completely stood out on the catwalk and screamed confidence.

For anyone looking to zhush up their eyeliner routine or to try something outside the box, this is one makeup slay you’ll definitely want to add to your beauty list. Ahead, Lee shares the steps to execute the perfect cat eye at home.

Step 1: With a brush, apply Maybelline SuperStay Full Coverage Powder Foundation all over the face.

Step 2: Fill in brows with Maybelline TattooStudio Brow Pomade. Then, apply a few strokes of Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Clear to set it.

Step 3: To create the cat eye, use Maybelline Tattoo Studio Gel Pen in Deep Onyx to draw a very light line extending from the top lash line to the outer corner of your eye reaching the crease. This will create the base of your cat eye.

Step 4: Then, use the Maybelline Tattoo Studio Gel Pen in Deep Onyx to draw another light line just above your cat eye from the outer crease to the outer corner of your eyelid.

Step 5: Next, apply Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Eyeliner in 110 Black on top of the previous lines you created.

Step 6: Generously apply several coats of Maybelline Snapscara on top of the lashes.

Step 7: To contour your face, use a bronzer brush and sweep Maybelline City Bronzer along the hollows of your cheekbones and jawline.

Step 8: Swipe on Maybelline FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Molten Gold along the high points of your cheekbones.

Step 9: Lastly, swipe Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink in Creator onto the lips.
