Meghan Markle's Mother Made an Emergency Trip to the UK to See the Royal Couple
Doria Ragland has been a calm, steady force throughout the Duchess of Sussex's family battles.
For every yin, there is a yang. And for every Thomas Markle, there's a Doria Ragland. Though the Duchess of Sussex's father Thomas hasn't exactly been press-shy, giving public comments at seemingly every opportunity about how his daughter and her new royal family have shunned him, Meghan Markle's mother Doria has been a calm, quiet presence throughout the whole ordeal.
And as it turns out, the royal mother made a major gesture to comfort her daughter during her stressful time of family battles — but the press didn't even catch wind of this one till now.
According to The Evening Standard, Ragland jetted to Oxfordshire in July, where she shacked up with Prince Harry and the duchess for "an extended stay." And though a long visit with an in-law is a recipe for disaster in some families, it's rumored that the prince has an especially close relationship with the yoga teacher and social worker.
That's a good thing, because it looks like Ragland might live with the royal family on a more long-term basis sometime in the future. According to recent reports, Meghan's mama has been taking "nanny" classes back in the States. Could she be refreshing her diapering and swaddling skills for a future role as the caretaker of her royal grandbaby? Only time will tell!
