Kylie Jenner Had Already Bought Items for Her Unborn Baby That Had *This* Name (And It Wasn't Stormi)
It wasn't Butterfly, either.
Not only did Kylie Jenner successfully keep her entire pregnancy (mostly) a secret, she also confused many people, including fans, when she chose the name Stormi for her little girl (with Travis Scott).
“I was looking [at] nature names, like weather, Earth-inspired. Willow was on there, love the name Willow," Kylie explained during a recent Halloween makeup tutorial. "But I know a Willow, she’s a great Willow and I’m close with her. When you know someone with that name, you can’t do that, it’s taken.”
Kylie has since explained how they came up with the name Stormi ("I really don’t know how we thought of Storm ... Her dad insisted it was him, but I feel like it was me. And that kind of just stuck with us. And then I didn’t really like just Storm — I didn’t feel like that was her name. So then it became Stormi. And it just stuck."), but she just revealed that she had originally wanted her daughter's name to match her own.
“I said, ‘I kind of want an “ie,” like me.’ So I did Stormie and it was always Stormie. I mean, I bought custom things for her that said ‘ie’ and bought her the blocks that said ‘ie,’ ” Jenner recalled.
“Then I didn’t fully choose her name. I wanted to have a week of just me and her to see if I wanted to change it. I had one other name in mind but Stormie always felt like her name from when she was in the womb. It’s almost like she chose her name.”
Considering the new mama is reportedly ready for baby girl no.2 (and already planning for a "really feminine name"), we'll see what her next child's name is ... and if it's a girly girl moniker, too.
