At Last, Jennifer Garner Has Filed Documents to Finalize Divorce from Ben Affleck
The two separated in 2015 but have been dragging their feet in divorce proceedings.
If you're holding out hope that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck won't actually get divorced — which is fair, since they haven't done so in the more than three years since they separated in 2015 — we hate to break this to you. But, it would appear that the actress has officially filed to finalize proceedings for the Hollywood divorce that had everyone wondering what was taking them so long.
Here's what we know: According to Us Weekly, which obtained documents from the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Garner requested on October 1 to have her case pulled out of the court system, so that it can be moved along more quickly by a private judge.
But in the end, it looks like Affleck will always have a ride-or-die partner in his (soon-to-be-ex) wife. Recently, Garner played a significant role in helping the him get sober. And of course, they'll always share their three adorable kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
Back in 2016, Affleck said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show: "[Garner and I are] good friends and we're doing our best and our kids are fabulous and we're working our best for them. And what else are you going to do?" Indeed!
