Fredrik Eklund Debuts His Drastic Hair Transformation: "Blonde Ambition"
The Million Dollar Listing alum kicked off 2024 by embracing the platinum blond look.

Although Fredrik Eklund experienced many life changes throughout 2023, the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles and Million Dollar Listing New York alum decided to kick off the new year with another big switch-up. And this time it wasn’t real estate-related.
On Friday, January 5, Fredrik surprised fans by unveiling his drastic hair transformation, which was equal parts edgy, modern, and dapper. While Fredrik stuck to his preferred haircut (cropped sides with a longer top), the Stockholm native ditched his signature brown color in favor of platinum locks.

“The Category is: Blonde Ambition,” he wrote in an Instagram post, which captured him sitting in a salon chair at Miami Beach’s Atma Beauty. “Let’s call him Kendrick and see how he sells,” he wrote in response to a complimentary comment.
Fredrik credited his new look to hair colorist Nathan Nutter and stylist Carlos Jacome.
The father of two returned to his Instagram several minutes later to show off the final results. “Targaryen Eklund,” he wrote, referencing the fictional TV family whose members are known for their icy blond hair.

Fredrik debuted his new look about four months after relocating from California to Miami. He was joined by his husband of 10 years, Derek Kaplan, as well as their young twins: a daughter named Milla and a son named Fredrik Jr.
“We came to Los Angeles four years ago today and we have so much to thank California for,” he wrote in a July 4 Instagram announcement. “I’ve built a strong team here and we continue to set records. However, my business is expanding quickly in Miami and the twins got into one of the best schools there for the Fall. [My husband] Derek got a super cool art studio in the Miami Design District too. We’re so [excited] for this new chapter.”

Since then, the real estate mogul has continued renovating his family’s beautiful Connecticut home and recently listed his Beverly Hills mansion for a whopping $11 million. He reflected on the latter property in the aforementioned July 4 post, which included photos of the home’s stunning interior and outdoor space.
“We LOVE this house so much, I will forever cherish these memories with the family,” he wrote. “Completely private, [seven] bedrooms and [seven] baths, featured in Architectural Digest and Vogue, we put our hearts into this multi-million-dollar renovation and made it colorful and happy.”
