Q&A: What Has Kari Been up To?

Bravotv.com: What have you been up to since we saw you last? Tell us everything!

Kari Wells: I spent the summer in France, Italy, and Spain, traveling to many of the cities so my kids could be immersed in the different languages and cultures. It was a great experience to see it all through their eyes. 

I wrote another book, this time a romantic travel book based on my life and the places I have visited.

I got a new agent for my acting career and went to work with Tyler Perry for his hit show as well as several of the movies and TV shows being filmed in Atlanta. One show is about to be released The Grand Prince of Moscow, where I play a mob wife with a Brooklyn accent. It was fun to get into that character.

Duncan celebrated 12 years of blissful marriage with 50 of our closest friends with a vow renewal ceremony. It was like having a second wedding and a ton of fun.

Bravotv.com: Who from this group have you stayed in touch with? Do you ever talk to Mariah?

KW: Toya and I remain good friends and always keep in touch. We both live close by, and so it is easy to pop over to each other's homes for a drink or a chat.  I never see Mariah as she lives out in the boonies, so she is never at any of the restaurants, galas, or events that I go to. I actually never see her in Atlanta anymore. I like Lisa and Heavenly, and both of them often invite me to events that they are having, and if I my schedule allows,  I go. 

Bravotv.com: Does Toya keep you informed of all the drama that goes on between the ladies? If so, anything that especially surprises you?

KW: Yes, Toya and I chat a lot about the goings on with the other ladies. I was shocked at how bad things got between Quad and Lisa. That went south in no time. I feel bad for Lisa and her children that such allegations are out there. I imagine that most of it is fabricated nonsense, so I hope that she is just letting it roll off her back.
