Meghan Markle's Wedding Dress Is Every Bit as Amazing as We Imagined
The Duchess of Sussex picked a simple yet stunning Givenchy gown for her May 19, 2018, marriage to Prince Harry.
It's no secret that here at The Lookbook, we're always taking style and beauty notes from Meghan Markle — whether we're hunting down the distressed jeans the Suits actress just wore or trying to copy her sculpting mouth massage method. So, naturally, we've had today (the day of her marriage to Prince Harry, in case you've been living under a rock) marked on our calendars for weeks because we were just dying to see her wedding dress.
Well, the moment has finally arrived and — spoiler alert — it was everything we hoped for and more. Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, walked down the aisle at St. George's Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle in a truly stunning gown. The bride, 36, was outfitted in a simple, long-sleeve, A-line design with a long train and an even longer lacy veil. While pre-wedding speculation had it that she'd be wearing Stella McCartney or Ralph & Russo, Markle ended up going with Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy for her designer. She topped the stunning look off with a diamond tiara, reportedly on loan from the Queen.
Markle may have gone with a simpler design for her wedding dress because this is her second time tying the knot. And did you know her dress had to be pre-approved by Queen Elizabeth? (You can read more about that, and the other style rules British royalty has to follow, by clicking here.)
Now, the moment you've been waiting for: Scroll through the photos below to see Markle's dress from every angle!

For her makeup, Markle went with a natural look, chosing a nude lip and neutral-toned smoky eyeshadow. She pulled her hair into a low, center-parted chignon and accessorized with diamond earring studs:
The royal family, including Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth, chose to dress in pastels for the event, with the Duchess donning a pale yellow and the Queen in a minty green.
Amal and George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, and Victoria and David Beckham were also guests at the wedding.
