Oops! Meghan Markle's Hairdo Allegedly Broke This Royal Style Rule
She may have to have a sit-down with her stylist ...
Meghan Markle has been making waves with her on-point sense of style. But, was her latest beauty move a misstep? While we dig the carefully tousled bun the future duchess wore on a recent outing, it seems that Kensington Palace might officially disagree.
First, take a peek at the coif that Markle wore during a January 9 outing to a radio station in London. With Prince Harry by her side, the native Californian looked pulled-together (and warm!) in a wide-collared coat with a silk scarf. She also wore her best accessory — that'd be the bespoke sparkler on her finger — and a loose up-do that's not too far off from what we might wear on a casual kombucha run.
The look seems chic enough to us, but does it live up to royal standards? According to some, the royal family is expected to stick to strict protocol that includes perfectly kempt hairstyles, with not a strand out of place.
But, if Markle did commit a royal taboo, it wouldn't be the first time Harry's future wife has grabbed headlines for daring to dress differently. Back when she and the prince started dating, Markle appeared beside her beau in (gasp!) ripped jeans. And, she also decided to forego stockings for the photos that accompanied the couple's engagement announcement in November.
Plus, a casual bun is nothing a little tiara can't spruce up.
